Events (List)

Location: On the Monitoring page.
Access path: Monitoring tab on the menu bar, click the Events tab.

Recovery Console tracks system activity for audit purposes. Individual actions are reflected as events and presented on this pane. Common events include logged in and logged out, less common events include server configuration changes and recovery server activation started.

Events are retained in Recovery Console for at least one year.

Available operations:

  • Browse the events with the navigation controls in the footer.
  • Reorder the list by the values in a column by clicking the icon to the left of the column name.
  • Drill-down to (open) a single event by clicking its description. This opens the Event Details page.

Access path: Monitoring tab on the menu bar, click the Events tab.

Filters make it easy to find particular events. The events in the “Events” list pane reflect the selected filters. When that group gets too long to scroll easily, deselect one or more filters. The number of events matching an individual filter is indicated in parentheses.

Events are filtered by users. If you have the “admin” access role, you will see all account users in the Events filter list; if you have the “user” access role, you will only see yourself in the filter list.

Available operations:

  • Collapse the filter group by clicking the ▼ icon, after which it changes to ►.
  • Expand the filter group by clicking the ► icon, after which it changes to ▼.
  • Select an individual filter by checking the check box.
  • Deselect an individual filter by checking its check box to clear it.
  • Deselect all filters by clicking the Clear All text.
  • Select all filters by clicking the Select All text.

Alert Details

Location: On the Monitoring page.
Access path: Monitoring tab on the menu bar, drill-down to a single alert in the Alerts list.

This pane presents the details of an alert: its status, its source, and when it was initiated. Most of this information is the same as in the Alerts (List) entry. The Description on this pane is complete, while the one on the Alerts (List) pane is abbreviated.

Available operations:

  • Drill-down to (open) the Server Details page for a server that is the source of the alert by clicking its Resource name.
